PERSONALITY
Slitstorm is best described as dark with violent tendencies. The huge tom has always found pleasure in fighting; even as a kit he was often told that he was a bully. He is incredibly stubborn and easily irritated.
Slitstorm has always been a lone wolf. His cold personality has kept most possible relationships distant. He is the last cat anyone would want to cross, and he makes sure everyone knows it. He has often been described as intimidating and scary, and he wears his label proudly.
Slitstorm has always had a huge issue with authority. He has selective hearing; he chooses to listen only when he wants to or if it benefits him. He is far from being the sappy romantic type; as a matter of fact it would be a miracle if he ever found a mate. His pent up anger makes it hard for him to develop any sort of serious relationships, and his stubbornness makes it hard for him to give more than he takes. He tends to dislike she-cats most of the time, and is uninterested in playing nice with anyone.
HISTORY
Slitstorm's history is an interesting one. The large tom was born into StoneClan, and was the only survivor out of his litter. His mother died during kitting and his father had passed on before he had even been brought into the world. Their Leader decided to name him Stripedkit due to the interesting patterns his stripes made. Stripedkit was large and demanded attention, despite his age.
As Stripedkit grew into apprenticeship, the young tom began to show troubling signs. Whether it was being too rough with the other apprentices or talking back to his mentor, it became apparent that he was having issues with authority. Despite that, Stripedpaw was making progress faster than the other apprentices, and he knew it. He picked up hunting quickly, and excelled at all things combat. It was hard for his mentor Darkpool to rein in his young apprentices behavior when it was clearly aiding Stripedpaw's progress.
As Stripedpaw's Warrior ceremony neared at eleven moons, the soon to be Warrior was attacked by a hawk while hunting. He had chosen to hunt on his own despite the rules. The bird was quick and hostile, piercing Stripedpaw's flank over and over with its talons. The big apprentice fought hard against the falcon, slashing desperately to free himself. His energy began to drain and when he thought for sure he was going to die, Darkpool came rushing around the cliff and fought the bird off. By the time he was able to get to Stripedpaw, the apprentice was unconscious and bleeding badly. His mentor had to rush back to camp and get help.
By the time he was carried to camp, Stripedpaw had lost a lot of blood. There was a lot of speculation about if he'd even survive his wounds. He came so close in fact that his prefix was changed and he was given his Warrior name, Slitstorm.
To the surprise of StoneClan, Slitstorm survived. He struggled for a long time, but slowly began to recover. His abrasive attitude never wavered.
He was given his first apprentice, Slenderpaw. The little she-cat was gentle and kind, and was unprepared for Slitstorm's idea of training. Slitstorm worked the tiny apprentice to the point that her pads bled and she was constantly returning to camp with bad injuries. The Leader began to expect that Slitstorm was abusing his mentor status. He arranged for a spy to watch over one of their training sessions. The Leader's spy was unprepared for what he was going to see.
Slitstorm maimed his apprentice. While practicing fighting he would beat her to the point that she couldn't stand, and proceed to get mad at her for being unable to stand on her own paws. His attacks were ruthless and vicious, and he had no mercy. The spy fled, being careless with his paw steps. Slitstorm heard the other tom, and after striking his apprentice one more time he charged after the spy furiously.
It didn't take him long to find the spy cowering under a bush. Slitstorm beat the other tom angrily before ripping out his throat. He didn't realize that Slenderpaw had seen him do it; his terrified apprentice ran back to camp and informed their Leader of his violations.
Upon returning to camp with a fabricated story, the Leader met him at the entrance of the cave with three Warriors in tow. As Slitstorm tried to squirm his way out of the situation he was thoroughly trumped. He was banished from StoneClan and escorted away from the territory, but only after slashing his Leader's maw viciously and being attacked by his guards. Slitstorm told his former leader that he was StoneClan's destiny, and that it wouldn't be the last time they saw him.
Upon leaving StoneClan territory he found himself lost in the Stone Sea. Many sunsets passed without food or water, and he felt his mental sanity slowly slipping away. When he stumbled across the Blood Pool he was unsure if he was seeing things or not. Hundreds of cats inhabited the small little nook, and the sound of running water made his dry mouth long to drink. It wasn't long before these scraggly looking cats took notice of him and began to surround him. They threatened him and told him he was going to die. Slitstorm fought for his life, never putting his stubborn pride aside long enough to submit. After being beaten to the brink of death, they laid off. A long furred rusty tom with an icy gaze spoke to him then; he introduced himself as Tempest and explained the territory he had just stumbled across. Tempest told him that there were no Leader's in this group, no StarClan; only chaos. And these cats worshipped it. Tempest went on to explain that Slitstorm had been one of the most impressive cats he had ever seen fight. He gave the injured warrior an ultimatum; either join the Rogue Rebellion or die. Slitstorm had already made up his mind to stay well before Tempest ever gave him his choices, and he happily said yes. He harbors the same hatred for the Clan's that Tempest does, so he automatically fit in. Not to mention his size prevented anyone from picking a fight with him alone. He has proven himself to be very useful in the Rogue Rebellions ranks, and is often one of the first cats his group goes to if they need muscle or intimidation tactics.
