Hey guys! Welcome to the Profile Guide. Here you will find all the information you will need to understand how to correctly fill out your profile. Your profiles will generally represent the character you are role playing with that account, unless you have a staff members account. There will be a guide on that as well. Everything you need to know can be found below.
CHARACTER PROFILE GUIDE
OOC
OOC means "Out of Character." This symbolizes your out of character name, or what you would like other members of the site to call you when you are not role playing. You may choose your own out of character name, as it is recommended that you do not use your real name anyways. To display your out of character name on your profile and your posts, you will have to go to profile -> Edit profile -> Personal and find the section that says OOC. Write it out like this: Played by: XXXXXX
Replace the XXXXXX with your OOC name.
MOONS
Moons is the general term that Clan cats use to measure time or age. One moon = 1 month.
0-5 moons : Kits. Cats belong in the nursery.
6-12 moons : Apprentices. Cats are learning their skills.
13-40 moons: Warriors. They fight fearlessly for their Clan and will risk their lives.
40+ moons: Elders. Well respected and retired.
The Moons for your character can be filled out by going to profile -> Edit profile -> Personal. Find the Moons section and write ## Moons. Replace the ## with the correct amount of moons.
GENDER
This section is very simple. Go to Profile -> Edit profile -> Personal and find the Gender section. If your character is a female, write She-Cat; if it is a boy write Tom.
BIOGRAPHY
Here you will need to post the URL for your character application once you have started / finished it. This will give other members easy access to your characters description and history if they wish to know more. Go to Profile -> Edit profile -> Personal and find the biography section. Post your URL in and save.
PLOTTER
Here you will post the url to your characters plotter. A plotter is a thread that you may create to plot out ideas for your characters. If you do not have a plotter, just leave this section out. To post a URL in this section, go to Profile -> Edit profile -> Personal and paste it into the plotter section.
PROFILE IMAGES
You have likely noticed how our mini profiles look on the forum. This is a part of our new forum layout added to the site. The main avatar should represent the character you are playing. The large avatar is best kept in the 200×300 range, whIle the mini profile gif is 180X100. This may change in the future. You can make your own images to replace the default ones; to change the hover banner/mini profile gif you can go to profile -> Edit profile -> Personal and paste your URL in the mini profile gif section. It is highly recommended that your main banner should represent your character in the roleplay. This makes it easier for others to know who you are.
Using the same image for all of your characters in your mini profile gif isn't required, but it is recommended. This can help other members greatly when trying to distinguish who is who; however you can also update your status with your out of character name to remove the confusion.
OTHER CHARACTERS
This section is used to display your other characters. This section is pretty simple. You will have to go to profile -> Edit profile -> Personal to find the Other characters section. All you have to do is write in this:
