For years humanity wondered whether or not they were alone in the universe. In the year 2525, humanity finally got its answer. First Contact with aliens was not peaceful, and shortly thereafter the entirety of the human race was plummeted into a war for its own survival against an alien hegemony that called itself "The Covenant."
Seventeen years into this bloody war, a company of grizzled Marines finds themselves on the front lines of this interstellar conflict. With the Outer Colonies almost entirely in shambles, these brave men and women are fighting to keep the Covenant from reaching their ultimate goal; the human home world. Earth.
