Spider is a fairly fearful cat. She grew up in relative peace, and is lost when it comes to how to cope with conflict. She will flinch and cringe away from anything she thinks indicates anger directed at her. She'll walk on eggshells around any cat, regardless of whether that cat is the purest angel to walk the earth, or a bloodlust-filled demon.
She's mean, but not unkind. If she thinks conflict can't be avoid by toadying and apologizing, she'll dish as good as she gets. This is more out of fear, and she tends to feel bad, no matter her reason for lashing out.
She's fairly intelligent, but very scatterbrained. Spider forgets things very easily. She's very embarassed about this, and will try and hide it, with little success. She's good at puzzling out problems and dilemmas if she can calm down and put her mind to it... but more often than not, she'll become too panicked to focus and will make poor decisions.
Spider comes across as fearful and spiteful to most that she meets. She holds little genuine malice towards others- she just wants to be left in peace. She views most others as immediate or potential threats. She's not above helping another cat if it won't inconvenience her terribly, but she's not the type to go out of her way for someone else. She chooses to look after herself, and doesn't find making friends a realistic prospect.
APPEARANCE
Spider is dimunitive. Her looks give away much of her personality. She's small, haggard and bony, with bulging eyes and an always-twitching tail. She's not as tiny as cats come, but she's smaller than average. She's pretty clumsy too. She has some scars, but not too many. She can talk or run from fights easier than she can win them. As well as being few in number, most of her scars are small and not noticeable from a distance.
Those that care to look past size might find her intimidating. She constantly casts wary looks about, sizing everything up. She tries to seem harmless, but it can be pretty obvious that she'll lash out if frightened. She's terrible at hiding her emotions. She can tell a lie easily enough, but if doing so causes her to experience emotion that might give away her position, it's easy to see through her.
Her fur as grey. She's mottled with stripes and blotches of varying size. All are a darker shade of grey, but the exact shade also varies. Most are clustered close to her spine. She's pretty bony, although she has some paunch left on her belly from her pregnancy earlier in life.
