Her emerald eyes flashed with the light of the moon as Ravenstar scanned the crowd. Her gaze hesitated as she made eye contact with her brother; his stare offered nothing but hatred and a lack of support. Her heart ached as she looked down her perch at him. 'Why can't he understand that I didn't choose this for myself?' Ravenstar's face reflected her plea for him to understand. 'I miss how we used to be... No matter how much you hate me I'll always love you.' Blinking back her sadness as she turned away from him, she straightened herself in hopes of bringing out some well needed confidence.
It wasn't long before StoneClan's scent began to waft into the clearing, and she noticed her Warriors picking up their scent as well. Sootstripe and Bluestorm were the first to appear. The young StoneClan Medicine Cat smiled at her upon noticing where the new Leader was sitting. Ravenstar felt relieved. At least some cats believed in her.
She watched as Bluestorm padded over to the StoneClan perch curiously. Only now was it dawning on her that Amberstar seemed to be missing. As Bluestorm lept up onto the Leader's perch, Ravenstar finally understood. She gazed sympathetically at the new Leader. She understood how she must be feeling about everything. Dipping her head, she meowed a cautious greeting. "Hello, Bluestar." Her black ears twitched uneasily as she spoke. "I'm sorry for your loss. It seems the Clan's have seen some troubling things as of late." She glanced down at her paws, trying to keep her overwhelmed feelings in check. She wasn't sure if her comment would be reciprocated well or not, but she had good intentions. This whole Leader thing was scary to her, and despite the awful circumstances she felt some comfort in knowing she wasn't alone, even if the other Clan was technically an enemy. She reminded herself silently that by the end of the night, if all went well the Clan's would be less hostile and prepared to work together. That was of course, if they listened to her.

Thornstar made her to Fourstones, she had traveled this path only once before as the leader of her clan, she was technically the oldest leader there, as far as time holding the position went, other might have trumped her in actually age, but she had been the leader of her clan longer.

Leading her clan they eventually got there to see two clans already had arrived making WaveClan being the last to have to show up. Her clan descended into Fourstones and then dispersed into the crowd of other cats sharing tongues, the leader herself hopped up on her perch as the other two leaders did, she knew their names as the two were deputies and greeted them, ”Ravenstar, Bluestar.” She dipped her head and waited for Turtlestar to show up with WaveClan.

Swampfrost had never seen so many cats in one place before. Up until recently the large tom had been living a Kittypet lifestyle on the farmland closest to DarkClan. He and his sister had run away, but had gotten separated. He had stumbled across DarkClan, and Thornstar had taken pity on him. It was a good thing too; despite his size he had been lacking in survival skills before he came to DarkClan.
He was overwhelmed. So many different scents and Warriors was almost intimidating. As he followed close to his Leader, Swampfrost's icy gaze scanned the many faces. They were all completely alien to him. He found his own corner a fair distance from the other cats and he settled in.

After traveling through the trees to the Fourstones, Leopardleap settled into a spot close to the LeafClan's leader, and her close friend, Ravenstar. After the LeafClan's old leader, Ferretstar, death, Ravenstar became leader. Leopardleap was chosen to be deputy. The other clans probably didn't know this. She hoped the other clans would respect Ravenstar as leader, unlike most of the cats in her own clan.

Leopardleap's joyful eyes darted from face to face of each cat in the LeafClan. She saw Owlfeather's angry glare at Ravenstar. She hoped Ravenstar would stay strong throughout the gathering. Leopardleap knew she would.

As each clan came, Leopardleap watch every cat. Not that she knew any of them. As deputy, she wanted to learn more about each clan and their cats. Without a doubt, a gathering is the best place to meet.

Rookpool followed Thornstar closely, parting as the cats mixed in the Fourstones.

From scent, she detected both LeafClan and StoneClan. Good, she wouldn't be waiting for it to start all that long. These diurnal cats may have finished their daily business, but Rookpool was a DarkClan cat; nightly gatherings cut into her time for getting business done.

She spotted Sootstripe in the crowd. She recognized her from half-moon meetings. Not spotting her or her mentor around, she made her way towards Sootstripe. It couldn't hurt to get to know a fellow medicine cat, with them being above clan rivalries and all that. Thank goodness- there was only so much warrior belligerence that Rookpool could tolerate.

"Hello, Sootstripe," She mewed, tail waving in a greeting. In hindsight, she had looked a little preoccupied... but she surely wouldn't resent being greeted?

It wasn't long before DarkClan's scent wafted into the clearing, and Sootstripe's ears twitched in response to her name being called. She turned her odd gaze onto Rookpool, smiling softly at the DarkClan Medicine cat. She dipped her head in greeting, padding over to close the gap between the two of them. "Hello Rookpool. I hope all is well with you and DarkClan."
Unlike many of the Clan cats, she meant it when she wished the other Clans well. It was common for Medicine cats to be more lenient towards outsiders. Warriors were meant to fight, so it was understandable that it would be harder for them to put aside their pride. 'That will make this gathering that much harder.' She reminded herself silently. 'I wonder if Rookpool has experienced a prophecy vision like I did... Maybe even Thornstar.'

        "You'll do fine," they said. "No need to worry!"

      Oh, but he was, for whatever reason. Sure, this wasn't his first Gathering, but this was his first Gathering as a warrior. And while his pelt prickled with pride at the thought, he couldn't help but feel a bit apprehensive about his leader announcing to the other Clans of his status change from apprentice to warrior within the past few moons. It wasn't that he was afraid they wouldn't accept him--a new warrior within any Clan was a blessing, he was sure of it--but it was more so the amount of eyes that would glue themselves to his overly fluffy pelt. To say he would be embarrassed would be an understatement.

      However, no matter how flustered he would get, it didn't matter; he was going, and that was that.

      Skillfully maneuvering his way over slippery boulders lodged carefully within WaveClan territory, Breezefeather padded alongside his Clanmates, their paws leading them to the border they shared with LeafClan. He had heard numerous stories of what had traversed over the barren land that was painted with red by warriors of each side. He was only an apprentice then, having been told to stay back and guard the camp if LeafClan warriors strayed too far. And even if he hadn't seen the bloody battlefield for himself, it felt...ominous to walk on the same grounds that cats met their fate.

      Horrendous memories aside, the young tom clambered up a seemingly steep pathway which inevitably left the comfort of strong gushes of wind, salty air, and the roar of the ocean behind as the cats poured into greenery. The forest swallowed them whole, and it wasn't long until the sound of chatter rang clear in his ears. The scent of mingled cats was overpowering as he continued down the small, dirt pathway. As he slipped through the undergrowth, he suddenly burst out into a clearing, amber eyes widening as the Clan cats came into view. It didn't matter if this was his first Gathering or last, it still amazed him how many cats would attend such an important event.
