Walking in their paw steps [open]

It was dark. Silverpelt was spread over the trees as Ravensong padded silently through the underbrush. A single pair of paw steps kept pace with her own, and Ravensong's vibrant green eyes fell upon the LeafClan medicine cat dully. She had been a Deputy, and a darn good one for her age. Her leader Ferretstar had been her mentor as well, and had chosen her for the position because he knew she had the determination she needed to protect her Clan. In a way he was the only father figure she had ever had.  
Her heart ached sadly as she thought of her fallen leader. She missed him so much, and so little time had passed; and here Ravensong was about to take his position in the Clan. 'I will never be half the leader Ferretstar was.' Her ears fell slightly at the thought. 'But I'l try to make him proud.'
She could hear running water, and her pelt bristled slightly as her nerves kicked in. The soon-to-be leader emerged into a clearing, her heart racing as the Moonstream came into view.  Ravensong's emerald eyes flitted back to her medicine cat uneasily. Her company nodded, urging the young she-cat to proceed. Taking a deep breath, Ravensong stepped to the edge of the stream and settled in. With a couple delicate laps of water, suddenly the world around her faded until it was no more.
When her eyes opened, she was surrounded by stars. Grass danced softly in the wind beneath her paws, and the tempting scents of a thousand hunt-worthy creatures made Ravensong want to chase after them. But before she could get carried away, the scents of thousands of cats surrounded her.  
It was spectacular. The young she-cat watched in awe as the ancestors of the four Clans began to appear around her.
